Taito crafts courses

Taking part in crafts courses in Kankuri is simple. The courses are open for everyone, with little previous skills needed. You will be getting hand on assistance and will improve your own set of skills by making crafts. The courses are held at Taito Centre Kankuri in Kokkola. There is a fee for the course and the materials used. Sign up for courses by e-mail: or by phone: 068328550. Cancellations 3 days before the course at the latest. Half the course fee will be charged if the previously booked course seat is unattended.

Taito Crafts School

Taito Keski-Pohjanmaa organizes Basic education in the Arts in crafts schools in Kokkola, Kalajoki, Kannus, Sievi and Kaustinen. All children 7-9 years of age are elligible for the school. There is also a crafts school for anyone over 16 in Kokkola and Kalajoki.



Loistavaa-Strålande, a week of culture for children and youth.

Loistavaa-Strålande culture week for children and youth is in early November under the theme ”Everything circulates” All cultural actors in Kokkola offer high quality cultural experiences for  children and the young as well as their families. The workshops at Kankuri are free and open for all.
